The most popular tasting format is the multi-course wine dinner. These can take place in restaurants, hotels, event spaces or private homes. Guests are seated in whatever formation best suits the nature of the event (networking, mingling, weddings, celebrations, training seminars, etc.) A dinner of several courses is matched with wines served in pairs.
(2 hours)

  • 8 wines—sparkling (welcome wine), white, red, and dessert.
    Alternative themes for the wines may be specified by the client.
  • Wines are served in pairs with each course.
  • Detailed tasting notes are provided.
  • Caterer recommendations available.

Guests are seated around a conference table, lounge area, living room, etc. and enjoy a lively tasting and discussion led by the instructor. Emphasis is placed on the basics of tasting wine, the debunking of wine myths, and failsafe tips on pairing wines with food.  (2 hours)

  • 8 wines—sparkling, white, red, and dessert.
    Alternative themes for the wines may be specified by the client.
  • Wines are served one at a time.
  • Detailed tasting notes are provided.

Guests arrive, pick up a glass, and enjoy a sparkling wine cocktail to begin. When all have arrived, they are lectured by the instructor for 15-20 minutes on tasting tips and the theme of the event. Then, they walk around at their own pace to one or several “stations,” arranged in logical tasting order around the room. The instructor is on hand to answer questions, pour wines, mingle, etc.  (2 hours)

  • Wine quantity varies—sparkling, white, red, and dessert.
    Alternative themes for the wines may be specified by the client.
  • Pourers can be provided (at extra cost) if necessary. Volunteers from the client may also pour.
  • Detailed tasting notes are provided.
  • Hors d’oeuvres are suggested. Caterer recommendations available.
